    ESMAP has provided funding support to pilot enhanced smoking ovens in selected West Africa countries; to conduct an impact assessment of the enhanced smoking ovens in terms of social, economic, environmental and health impact; and to conduct trainings and workshops to have a peer-to-peer knowledge exchange and lessons learned sharing for future scaling up [1]

    Implementation not yet started. Some pilot ovens have been installed in Ghana, Sierra Leone and Liberia. The feedback is positive and demand is high as the improved ovens have proven to be more energy efficient (save 50%- 75% fuel), improve the product color and quality, and reduce smoke [1]

    Development objective is to improve the energy-efficiency and economic performance of post- harvest fishery sectors [1]
